Table manners
A few real-table habits worth knowing before you sit down at baccarat.
At mini-baccarat (the most common format) the dealer flips every card immediately — don't touch them. At bigger tables, the player with the largest bet may get to "squeeze" and slowly reveal their own cards, a real tradition, but check that it's allowed at your table first.
Once the dealer calls "no more bets," keep your hands off your chips until the hand resolves.
Chips go in the marked betting area — never handed straight to the dealer.
In commission games, the dealer tracks what you owe on the rail. You settle up when you leave or when asked, not after every hand.
Tipping the dealer (a "toke") is optional but common in North American casinos — place a chip near your bet and let them know it's for them.
